Red Flag Rules
Red Flag Rules take effect May 1, 2009. A Red Flag Rule is the new FTC Rules, where if a municipality bills for services after services are rendered, the municipality is a creditor. As such, the municipality is subject to these rules, which are set up to prevent identity theft.
